| Building on the success
of the past 4 series of APEC Nanoscale Measurement Technology
Forum, the “APEC Nanoproducts Measurement Technology Forum” (APEC
NanoForum 2009) is an event of APEC supported project,
‘”Technological Cooperative Framework of Nano Scale Measurement
and Analytical Methods.” This year, 2009, the APEC NanoForum
focuses on the nanoproducts validation and verification methods,
which aims to prevent counterfeit nanoproducts in the market to
increase public trust, and therefore to optimize the related
business and investment. The APEC NanoForum 2009 will provide a
network for industry, government, academia, technology
expertise, and those who are seeking R&D collaboration to
jointly discuss, identify, and promote the best available
technology to meet the increasing demands on nanoproducts.
The Forum comprises a two-day conference held from October 7
to 8, 2009 in Taipei, together with the Taiwan Nano Exhibition.
The event includes keynote addresses, discussion of nano
characteristics and functional measurement critical issues,
inter-laboratory comparison results, metrology and standards
issues. The selected trial item will be nano particle coated
self-cleaning product. Experts will be invited from worldwide
economies such as Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India,
Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, US, and local
government, industries, and academies to share their development
experience in these fields.
